This front left air suspension strut with ADS adaptive damping is a direct OEM replacement built for Mercedes-Benz CLS550 and CLS400 RWD models built on the W218 chassis between 2012 and 2018.

Built with heavy-duty steel housing, reinforced air spring bladder and built-in ADS damping solenoid; this unit is designed exclusively for the front left suspension position, and only fits rear-wheel-drive vehicles equipped with AIRMATIC air suspension and adaptive damping system.

We upgraded the air bladder with anti-aging synthetic rubber to stop premature air leakage, while the sealed electrical connector eliminates corrosion damage common on factory original struts. Pre-drilled mounting holes match factory bolt positions exactly, so no cutting or modification is required during installation.

This air strut fixes the most common AIRMATIC factory failures: front driver side sagging overnight, continuous air hissing from the strut body, oil leakage out of the shock cylinder, stiff ride quality from failed ADS damping, and repeated component replacement caused by weak air sealing on Mercedes CLS-Class models.

This replacement strut clears the OBD/VCDS diagnostic trouble codes triggered by a failed front left ADS air strut: C2639 (Adaptive Damping System Malfunction) and C157300 (Long venting correction time from air spring leakage).
